History of Carrick Rangers Colts

Carrick Rangers Colts was formed in 2001 when Castle Colts amalgamated with Carrick Rangers Youth. At this stage Castle Colts had teams playing at under 11, Under 14 and under 15. Both clubs had spoken about a merger at great length and it was decided that both clubs should merge to form "Carrick Rangers Colts".

From a development view this would enable children to commence their footballing career at under 10 level, developing through the other age groups to maybe making a senior team apperance, which is already happening at the club. Carrick Rangers Colts although playing under the Carrick Rangers umbrella are a seperate club from the senior team.
Carrick Rangers Colts have a full working committee of 15 reps and 6 office bearers who all play a very active role in making Carrick Rangers Colts a success. Also with having 14 "B" licence coaches now at the club it is hoped that football will develop really well here in the coming years ahead.
